Extrapyramidal symptoms: case report In a retrospective study of 119 patients conducted at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan between January 2001 and December 2010, a 14-year-old girl* was described, who developed extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) during treatment with fluoxetine [dosage, route, therapeutic indication and time to reaction onset not stated]. Author comment: "The most common drugs causing EPS in this study were. . . and 1, fluoxetine". "EPS are movement disorders that can be caused by brain damage or induced by drugs. The most common EPS include acute dystonia, akathisia, pseudoparkinsonism, and tardive dyskinesia.
