The Drug Information Bulletin is published by the Drug Infaation Center @IC) of Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pdchara,-Nepal every quartex The DIG in Nepal are linked together under the Drug Infnmation Network of Nepal. The first issue of the bulletin was published in November 2003.The bulletin has various sections under which the articles are categorized. The bulleth is distributed internally within the hospital and in the cdlege. The hard copies of the bulletin are also distributed to various organizations in Nepal and around 20 countries.

The Drug Information Center (DIC) at the Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara, Nepal, was inaugurated on November 16,2003. The DIC was started with the technical support of the US Pharmacopeia Drug Quality and Information (USPDQI) department. The DIC is equipped with reference books and electronic drug information sources and was set up to answer queries from the teaching hospital, from Pokhara city, and the western development region of Nepal. To educate prescribers at different levels and to spread the message of rational use of medicines, the executive in charge of the DIC, Dr. Pranaya Mishra, and the members of the DIC decided to bring out a drug information bulletin (DIB). The International Society of Drug Bulletins (ISDB) is an organization of drug bulletin publishers that maintain editorial independence and do not accept funding from the pharmaceutical industry. The ISDB organized a training program in Kathmandu, Nepal, in February 2004. and the chief editor of the DIB, Dr. Pranaya Mishra, and the assistant editor, F! Subish, attended the program. The DlCs in Nepal are linked together under an organization called the Drug Information Network of Nepal (DINoN). In Nepal, DICs are functioning at the Department of Drug Admin-
