This volume contains the papers presented at EWRL 2011: the 9th European Workshop on Reinforcement Learning held in Athens, Greece, September 9–11, 2011. The workshop was co-located with the European Conference on Machine Learning and Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases (ECML PKDD 2011).
