Pharmacodynamic aggravation in the form of increased seizure frequency: case report In a study involving 93 patients with newly-diagnosed epilepsy, a patient [sex and age not stated] was described, who developed pharmacodynamic aggravation in the form of an increase in seizure frequency during treatment with valproic acid for idiopathic generalised epilepsy [route, dose and outcome not stated]. The patient, who had idiopathic generalised epilepsy, started receiving treatment with valproic acid daily. One month after the initiation of valproic acid, the patient developed pharmacodynamic aggravation in the form of an increase in seizure frequency. Karlov VA, et al.
