Ciprofloxacin Supraventricular tachycardia and vomiting: 2 case reports
In a study involving 18 patients who received treatment with ciprofloxacin at a hospital in Greece between 2005 and 2008, two patients [ages and sexes not stated] were described, who developed vomiting (one patient) and supraventricular tachycardia (one patient) during the treatment with ciprofloxacin [indications and dosages not stated]. Patient 1: The critically ill patient, was admitted to the ICU. In the ICU, the patient’s treatment was started with IV ciprofloxacin. However, on day 5 of treatment, the patient developed mild vomiting [outcome not stated]. Patient 2: The critically ill patient, was admitted to the ICU. In the ICU, the patient’s treatment was started with IV ciprofloxacin. However, on day 5 of treatment, the patient developed transient supraventricular tachycardia. Sideri G, et al.
