Delirium: case report In a case series of five patients, a 77-year-old woman was described, who developed delirium during treatment with tramadol for pain managment. The woman with biopolar disorder had been stable on lithium for last 5 years. She had a significant history of diabetes mellitus and arthrosis. On the 24th March, the physician was consulted for severe pain in her ankle. The physician prescribed her tramadol 50mg once daily [route not stated], as she had responded well to tramadol in the past. The succeeding night, she became anxious and confused. Therefore, the following day, at the emergency room, she was diagnosed with delirium secondary to tramadol. Later, she developed COVID-19. However, with supportive care, additional oxygen support and careful evaluation of her lithium, her COVID-19 improved. She was discharged from the hospital [outcome of reaction not stated].
