Intrauterine growth restriction: case report A 28-week-old female fetus developed intrauterine growth restriction during corticosteroid therapy with dexamethasone. The mother of the fetus was diagnosed with dichorionic diamniotic twin pregnancy. The mother had an underlying lupus with DNA-native antibody SSA/Ro, and a history of pulmonary embolism. During her early pregnancy, the mother received hydroxychloroquine 400 mg/day, aspirin [acetylsalicylic acid] 75 mg/day and enoxaparin sodium [enoxaparin] 4000 UI/day. At 23 weeks of gestation, one of the twins (twin A) was diagnosed with congenital complete atrioventricular block with heart rate of 55 bpm, whereas the other twin (twin B) had normal sinus rhythm. Subsequently, the mother started receiving corticosteroid therapy with oral dexamethasone 4 mg/day to protect the unaffected twin. An ECG showed no signs of hydrops fetalis or endocardial fibroelastosis (EFE). The heart rate of twin A was stable at 55 bpm. At 28 weeks of gestation, twin A was diagnosed with severe asymmetric growth restriction with abdominal and femoral biometry. Global weight was
